Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

1. Technical Writing/Editing (5+ years): Experience organizing and editing technical content for software products, with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy.
2. Knowledge of Office Applications: Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and its update/release cycles.
3. Publishing Experience (GitHub preferred): Comfort editing and publishing content using GitHub or similar collaborative tools, including Markdown.

Opportunity Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of Office application releases, translating complex updates into concise, clear customer-facing release notes that help IT pros and end users stay informed.

How you will make an impact:

• Edit and organize release notes for Office product updates to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Publish release notes using GitHub or similar tools, following set style, terminology, and documentation standards.
• Maintain documentation records, files, and revision history for all updates.
• Collaborate with product teams to gather technical information and ensure specifications are met.
• Ensure each release communicates new features, fixes, and changes in a way that’s accessible and valuable to customers.

The expertise you bring:

• 5–7 years’ experience in technical writing or editing, ideally for a technical or software audience.
• Deep familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and update cycles.
• Experience publishing technical documentation through GitHub (preferred) or similar collaborative tools.
• Proficiency with Markdown editing.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
