Team Red Dog is seeking a talented Data Engineer – Analytics & ETL to join our Global IT client’s operations analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to help build scalable analytics infrastructure, onboard new data sources, and create dashboards that support high-impact projects. Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. Data Onboarding & Ingestion – Hands-on experience ingesting structured and unstructured data from multiple sources such as Event Hubs, SQL, and Vector.
  2. ETL Pipeline Development – Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Kusto Query Language to build scalable, automated pipelines.
  3. Dashboard Development – Skilled in creating and maintaining dashboards using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Explorer for real-time analytics.
  4. Scripting & Automation – Strong ability to script in Python or Bash to optimize data processes.

Opportunity Overview:
This is a unique chance to contribute to the migration of data estates into Microsoft Fabric, build analytics and dashboards from the ground up, and work with modern data engineering tools. How you will make an impact:
• Ingest and normalize structured/unstructured data (live and historical) from diverse sources.
• Build scalable, automated ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Kusto Query Language.
• Design and maintain real-time dashboards in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Explorer.
• Implement robust data models and enforce governance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate telemetry, license usage, and operational metrics.
• Optimize performance of queries and pipelines for speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.

The expertise you bring:
• 5–7 years of experience in data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Explorer (ADX/Kusto), SQL, KQL, Azure Data Studio, Event Hubs, Logic Apps, Vector, Splunk, and ADF.
• Strong scripting experience in Python or Bash.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, ADX, and Grafana.
• Familiarity with license operations, SLI/SLO tracking, and real-time telemetry.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or Splunk Core Certified Power User are a plus.
