Team Red Dog has a unique opening for a User Experience Researcher with our client, a leading global technology company that will begin in January 2025. The UX Researcher will join the Azure UX team to conduct iterative, evaluative research in the complex Azure product domain. The opportunity will promote collaboration with a diverse team to deliver research insights that directly impact product development.

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience running usability studies.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience recruiting specific user segments for research.

 Opportunity Overview:
The Azure Portal UX Partner Experiences team supports PMs and engineering teams needing UX design and research expertise. This role will focus on the core experiences of the Azure portal, providing exposure to critical projects and fostering collaboration with a supportive community of researchers and designers.

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Define and execute qualitative research methods, including field research, surveys, lab studies, remote testing, and A/B tests.
• Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.
• Deliver actionable research findings with quality and within project timelines.
• Communicate and advocate for research findings to inform design decisions.
• Document and present recommendations based on research findings and analysis.
• Collaborate with supervising Design Researchers or Managers to identify and address critical usability issues.

 Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience conducting experimental research on software products.
• Experience in enterprise environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in usability studies, interviews, and survey methods.
• Understanding of the design process and the role of research in each phase.
• Proven collaboration across design and engineering teams.
• Strong project management skills with experience in Agile and Lean frameworks preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant research projects is required.
