Team Red Dog is expanding our UX Researcher pipeline in anticipation of increased demand from our client, a multinational technology company. We are actively seeking experienced, motivated, creative, and customer-focused UX Researchers from diverse backgrounds on an ongoing basis. We welcome candidates ranging from experienced level to senior level leaders who are eager to join multi-disciplinary Design Teams. These teams include designers, researchers, and UX engineers, collaborating on a variety of products, including large team collaboration and communication applications, often incorporating cutting-edge AI technology. Top Skills Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience with usability testing & user interviews.
  • 5+ years’ experience with data analysis in both Qualitative and Quantitative studies.
  • 5+ years’ experience with presenting data insights and writing research reports.
  • A portfolio or samples of previous work/case studies will be preferred.

Opportunity Overview:
In this role, you will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, designers, and engineers to define and deliver the next generation of experiences. You'll have the opportunity to utilize a wide range of research methodologies, including field research, traditional usability tests, prototype testing, surveys, and telemetry research.

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences who have developed and executed proven research methods across all phases of software development. Your expertise will be instrumental in making recommendations and solving design problems effectively. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential as you'll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, program managers, and other researchers to garner support for research plans and ensure actionable insights are implemented in a highly collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support research for chat and channels on a large team collaboration and communication application. Additionally, support research for 1st or 3rd party apps and AI experiences.
  • Contribute to various projects with high quality experiences, exploratory research to evaluations.
  • Run studies, focus groups and various testing.
  • Meet with collaborators across interdisciplinary teams, study readouts, and collaborate with other researchers on team to successfully communicate data and insights in timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS (MS preferred) in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field, OR significant industry experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience conducting user research and driving tangible outcomes with product teams and a proven track record of success.
  • Proven experience designing and conducting a range of formative and iterative research methods applicable to all product stages from conception to release (Enterprise experience a plus).
  • Thorough knowledge and experience across a range of UX research approaches and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain research plans and drive data into decisions across the product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the implications of research finding in clear and compelling ways; translate research findings into actionable recommendations; ability to translate data into Insights.
  • Strong written and verbal abilities.
  • Experience managing UX research knowledge that is leveraged across design and engineering teams.
  • Track record of collaborating across disciplines (design, engineering) to drive change into products; must be able to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
  • Proven ability to work within tight timelines and with excellent project management skills.
  • Previous experience as user researcher conducting studies with a technical user base is a plus.
