Team Red Dog is seeking a Senior Product Designer for our client, a global productivity and collaboration leader, to help shape next-generation Calendar and Copilot experiences used by millions of people every day. This hybrid role (Redmond, WA) offers the opportunity to design AI-powered productivity workflows across Outlook Calendar, Teams Calendar, and modern workplace experiences, combining human-centered design with emerging conversational and agentic technologies.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  4. Ability to work independently in ambiguous problem spaces while maintaining clear design rationale and decision-making.

Opportunity Overview:
This role sits at the intersection of productivity, collaboration, and AI. You will help evolve Microsoft Calendar from a scheduling tool into an intelligent control center that supports planning, prioritization, and collaboration at scale. You’ll contribute to both near-term product improvements and longer-term vision, imagining how AI agents, prediction, and conversational interfaces can become trusted thought partners for users managing their time and work.

How you will make an impact:
• Support and execute the design vision for Calendar and Copilot experiences, with a focus on conversational UX and autonomous agents.
• Design end-to-end workflows across desktop, web, and mobile surfaces that make time management feel intuitive and effortless.
• Explore how AI-powered features such as prediction, next-best actions, and conversational interactions can enhance collaboration and productivity.
• Lead ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces while balancing long-term vision with near-term delivery.
• Set a high bar for craft, usability, and quality across all design outputs.
• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data science to turn insights into shipped experiences.
• Use research and data to inform decisions, validate direction, and optimize for long-term user value.
• Influence and mentor designers across the organization, raising the overall quality and consistency of design work.

The expertise you bring:
Master’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, or related field and 4+ years of experience in product or service design, or
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in product or service design, or
• Equivalent practical experience demonstrating strong product thinking and design leadership.
• Experience designing complex, high-scale products used by large, global audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:
A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design leadership, from vision and systems thinking through launch and impact.
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and shape clear, durable solutions.
• Strong design craft with attention to interaction details, clarity, and cohesion across workflows.
• Experience partnering deeply with research, data, product, and engineering teams.
Prior work on AI-powered or agentic experiences that balance intelligence, trust, and user control.
