This role offers the opportunity to drive financial clarity and operational excellence for a dynamic, fast-paced finance organization. You will directly support a 200-person organization within a 4,000-person division, owning the budget and forecast rhythm end-to-end while collaborating closely with the Chief of Staff, Finance partners, and operational leaders. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking full ownership, shaping financial processes, and partnering with high-visibility groups to ensure alignment, accuracy, and strategic impact.
How you will make an impact:
• Own the annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and forecasting cycles for the SPARC organization.
• Evaluate existing purchase orders, identify invoicing or accrual needs, and drive team-wide awareness.
• Create, refine, and deliver Mercury and Informa reports for recurring and ad hoc business needs.
• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, from creation through invoicing, accruing, and closure.
• Review Statements of Work (SOWs) for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with requirements.
• Provide clear, concise financial reporting and insights to leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Partner closely with Finance, Chief of Staff, and broader AHSI teams to ensure forecasting rigor.
• Represent the SPARC team in Finance meetings and deliver weekly updates on status and trends.
• Coach leaders and team members on forecast expectations, financial processes, and compliance.
• Navigate ambiguity with confidence, driving clarity and end-to-end ownership of financial tasks.
The expertise you bring:
• 10+ years of Microsoft finance experience, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and reporting.
• Deep proficiency in Mercury, Informa, MyOrder/ProcureWeb, and GSR.
• Strong experience managing complex purchase orders through their full lifecycle.
• Ability to read and assess SOWs for contractual and financial completeness.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building reports or dashboards in Power BI.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all organizational levels.
• Experience collaborating with Finance, Chief of Staff offices, and large cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Working knowledge of Legal Contracting Experience (LCE) a plus.
• MUST HAVE large-tech financial operations experience
