We are looking for a SAP Security Specialist to join our client, a global leader in software and technology who will play a critical role in managing master data, security roles, and internal controls for financial processes in SAP.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

1. Minimum 3+ years of experience with SAP security support and administration or equivalent.
2. Minimum 3+ years of experience incorporating Segregation of Duties (SOD) into SAP security role designs and SAP GRC rules.
3. Strong knowledge of SAP ECC security role structures, authorization objects, and restrictions.

Opportunity Overview:

This role presents an exciting opportunity to gain valuable exposure to the intersection of finance and security, showcasing how SAP security supports financial processes at a leading global technology company. As an SAP Security Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign finance SAP security roles and contribute to the future-state design for the SAP S/4 implementation.

Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited to:

• Finance SAP Security Redesign:
• Design new SAP security roles to support and control financial activities in SAP ECC and future SAP S/4 environments.
• Align SAP transaction codes, authorization objects, and restrictions with business processes, internal controls, and SOD requirements.
• Collaborate with finance function SMEs to identify high-risk T-codes requiring stronger controls or role isolation.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Consult with SMEs to gather input and obtain approval for new SAP security role designs.
• Confirm user access requirements for new security roles and coordinate with the SAP security team for role creation.
• Process Documentation and Support:
• Document learnings to create repeatable procedures for SAP security role transitions and redesigns.
• Assist in transitioning finance users from existing SAP roles to newly designed roles and activate SOD rules in SAP GRC.

Qualifications/Experience:

Required:

• 3–5 years of SAP security role support, design, or administration experience.
• Experience incorporating SOD controls into SAP security role designs and SAP GRC rules.
• Proficiency in SAP ECC security utility transactions (e.g., SUIM, SU01D).

Preferred:

• 1–2 years of SAP security administration supporting SAP financial processes.
• Experience with SAP security role transitions or migrations.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of best practice SAP security role design, preferably within SAP finance modules.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4 authorization structures and restrictions.
• Familiarity with SOD controls and SAP GRC integration.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and critical thinking.
