Business Overview: Our client, a multinational software and information technology company, needs a Copy Editor who is both flexible and open-minded about protecting the creative spirit of a given piece while ensuring the pieces are clear, consistent and aligned with brand standards. As the ideal candidate, you should be able to carefully track all changes against master and client documentation, making it easy for others to address corrections. Hardworking, focused, and fast, you’re comfortable working under tight deadlines and never lose your cool—or sense of humor.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Ensure all materials leaving the agency are clear, consistent, and complete.
Create grammatically correct work that is aligned with brand standards.
Work collaboratively with the team to tell stories.
Project manage own work and related channels to meet deadlines.
Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve writing quality.
Track all changes against master and client documentation to make it easy for others to address corrections.

Quickly adapt to brand style guidelines.

Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum of five years’ proofreading experience in various communications.
BA in English, journalism, communication, or related field preferred.
Excellent command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well with creative team members.
Proven track record of working collaboratively across disciplines.
Digital or ad agency experience preferred.
Capable in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Technical editing experience a plus.
