Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

• 3+ years of experience with advanced package design and Cadence Allegro platform tools, specifically for silicon products.
• 3+ years of experience in PDN analysis using industry-standard tools such as Cadence Sigrity and Celsius to evaluate power integrity, thermal performance, and system-level optimizations.
• In-depth knowledge of advanced packaging technologies including flip chip, 2.5D, and 3D wafer packaging, as well as CPU/GPU/NPU memory architecture and power management strategies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and adapting to evolving project requirements.

Opportunity Overview:

This position plays a critical role in shaping the power efficiency of next-generation AI and computing devices. As part of the Windows and Devices organization, you will analyze and optimize power delivery networks (PDN) for silicon packages, working closely with a technically focused team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct PDN analysis and optimization for next-generation silicon packaging solutions, ensuring efficient power delivery across various compute workloads.
• Design and refine power delivery strategies, integrating industry-leading PDN tools such as Cadence Sigrity and Celsius to model and simulate power integrity and thermal performance.
• Collaborate with hardware and silicon engineers to implement optimized power solutions for CPU, GPU, and AI processors.
• Evaluate flip chip, 2.5D, and 3D packaging solutions, ensuring minimal power losses and maximum system efficiency.
• Support build infrastructure setup for power delivery analysis workflows, enhancing model accuracy and computational efficiency.
• Contribute to case study evaluations, running detailed power optimization scenarios for real-world applications.
• Engage in weekly team meetings (15%) and extended collaborative sessions (10%), with 75% of time spent on hands-on analysis and optimization tasks.

Qualifications/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in power delivery optimization, silicon packaging, or system-level electrical engineering.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor power delivery networks (PDN), power integrity, and thermal analysis.
• Proficiency with PDN analysis tools (e.g., Cadence Sigrity, Celsius, Ansys RedHawk) for evaluating power and signal integrity.
• Hands-on experience with advanced package design using Cadence Allegro and PCB/IC packaging tools.
• Deep knowledge of CPU/GPU/NPU memory architecture and power efficiency principles.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, managing time effectively and delivering results in a fast-paced, evolving technical landscape.
