Team Red Dog is looking for a remote Software Design Engineer (Level 2) to join our industry-leading technology partner’s Xbox Experiences team and contribute to making gaming great on Windows-based handheld devices—like the ASUS Xbox Ally. In this exciting role, you’ll design, develop, test, and help maintain key features across Game Bar, Windows, and the Xbox App on PC, directly influencing the user experience for millions of gamers worldwide.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. C++ (2–4 years) – Professional experience developing complex applications and features on Windows.
  2. C# (1–4 years) – Proficiency in developing and maintaining robust software components.
  3. Application UI/UX (2–4 years) – Experience building and refining user interfaces for native applications, ensuring polished, intuitive experiences.

How you will make an impact:
• Design, implement, and test new features for Game Bar, Windows, and the Xbox App on PC.
• Analyze system requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Review and enhance existing code to meet evolving standards and client needs.
• Conduct detailed unit testing and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with teammates on code reviews, sprint planning, and feature validation.
• Document and maintain system specifications and test plans.

The expertise you bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience developing software in C++ and/or C#.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing on Windows and using code management tools such as Git.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and perform detailed testing on both new and legacy codebases.
• Familiarity with XAML and UI/UX design for native Windows applications.
