Usability Researcher 3

Team Red Dog - United States

Help shape the foundation of research excellence in one of the world’s most influential tech environments. Team Red Dog is looking for a highly organized and collaborative Research Operations Program Manager for our client. This resource will support a UX Research team focused on Windows and Devices. This role is perfect for someone who thrives behind the scenes—building processes, managing participant recruitment infrastructure, handling budgets, and ensuring operational excellence for large-scale, global research initiatives. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to research that shapes products used by millions.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  • UX Research Familiarity (5+ years): Strong understanding of research workflows and participant recruiting, preferably supporting global research teams.
  • Budget & Procurement Management (5+ years): Comfortable with POs, SOWs, working with procurement, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Documentation & Governance (5+ years): Skilled in documenting operating procedures, managing knowledge libraries, and handling data privacy considerations.

Opportunity Overview:

This long-term contract supports a high-impact UX Research organization by designing and maintaining systems that keep operations efficient, compliant, and user-focused. You'll manage tools, documentation, communication rhythms, and supplier coordination—enabling researchers to stay focused on generating insights. This is a chance to be the backbone of a highly collaborative, research-driven team.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for research operations
  • Lead centralized systems for participant recruitment and supplier engagement
  • Manage research budgets, procurement workflows, and PO submissions (via MyOrder)
  • Maintain libraries for templates, insights, and data governance compliance
  • Drive communication strategies across internal team and stakeholder groups
  • Help forecast and prioritize team workloads and resource allocation
  • Administer research tools and software licenses, working with procurement and finance
  • Organize and improve the team’s rhythm of business and operational milestones

The expertise you bring:

  • 5–7 years in a research operations, program coordination, or UX support role
  • Strong project management and vendor coordination experience
  • Skilled in building and managing team documentation and knowledge hubs (SharePoint a plus)
  • Familiarity with participant recruitment processes and research tooling
  • Experience navigating complex systems (MyOrder, Microsoft ADO preferred)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Visio or other process tools

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:

  • Demonstrated experience building systems and removing operational roadblocks for UX or research teams
  • Ability to balance independent execution with team collaboration
  • Confidence managing data access, privacy reviews, and procurement workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and resourceful problem-solving
  • Previous Microsoft or large-scale enterprise experience is a plus
