Responsibilities of the Hydraulic Sales Account Manager (Hybrid Remote)

  • Serve as the sales liaison to oversee global hydraulic accounts for the railroad, heavy mobile equipment, automation and other industries
  • Be responsible to cold call as needed to develop new business and to farm or maintain existing accounts
  • Understand and apply the sales fundamentals to meet sales targets
  • Be prepared to travel 75% of the time mostly domestically and yet some internationally
  • 25% of the time will be in the office in Rockford, IL or a blend of in the office and remote
  • Being located near a major airport is ideal
  • Stay informed on the technology advancements in the heavy mobile equipment industry for hydraulics and electronics and mechatronics pertaining to fluid power
  • Develop personal growth sales plans that align with the company goals including NPD goals
  • Understand the basic operational concepts of hydraulic cylinders and elastomeric seals, manifolds, pumps, reservoirs and fluid power overall

Requirements of the Hydraulic Sales Account Manager (Hybrid Remote)

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline is a strong plus
  • At least 2 years of experience in a sales or applications engineer type of position ideally in the heavy mobile equipment fluid power, hydraulics, electronics or mechatronics with a history of understanding the expectations of the heavy mobile equipment large customer base
  • Again, a sales type of background preferably understanding hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, mechatronics or even a machined component assembly background serving the railroad, heavy mobile equipment, automation and other industries a strong plus

Compensation for the Hydraulic Sales Account Manager (Hybrid Remote)

The targeted annual base salary for this position is $80,000 to $130,000 per year plus a generous bonus plan depending on experience.
