CNC Machinist Chicago Ridge, IL

Currently looking for a trainable CNC Machinist to fill a second shift direct hire opening with a company in the Chicago Ridge, IL area. Interested candidates should have at least entry level CNC Machinist training.

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist

• At our client's expense, be willing to be trained on Swiss and Citizen CNC machining centers during normal working hours during your first 8 weeks
• Prepare to work on 3-axis mills, 5-axis mills, horizontal mills, dual-spindle lathes with live tooling and 5-axis machine centers (mill head with turning turret)
• Set-up, program and operate your own CNC machines
• Inspect your own parts off of your own machines using micrometers and vernier calipers
• Parts are used in the medical industry
• This is a second shift position from 4:30 pm to 4 am cst Monday to Thursday with an extra 10% pay differential.
• OT is generally always available

Requirements of the CNC Machinist

• High School Diploma
• At least entry level, basic CNC level experience
• A college degree especially in an engineering discipline is a plus as this in-house CNC training can be used as a springboard to advance your career with our client long-term as they grow

Compensation of the CNC Machinist

The targeted hourly base salary for this first shift position ranges from $19.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience.
