Finance Manager

We’re looking for a Finance Operations Manager to join a leading tech firm in the heart of Silicon Beach! Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll partner with stakeholders from across the Finance team to coordinate and execute cross-functional team initiatives that help us realize our shared department goals and deliver process optimization/automation.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage multiple Finance transformation projects including the reporting of project status and the identification and resolution of issues, risks, and dependencies
  • Establish formal Finance transformation PMO including mechanisms to request, track, and prioritize initiatives
  • Maintain process taxonomy and facilitate the development of process level documentation, key performance indicators, and measurement tools including activity analysis
  • Assess current state Finance processes, identify transformation opportunities and deliver process improvements or technology enablers
  • Partner with IT to develop system requirements, establish timelines and ensure on time completion of projects
  • Develop project level business cases and track ROI
  • Partner across business functions/teams to drive cross-functional initiatives
  • Present to Sr. Leadership on a regular basis

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar discipline
  • 5+ years of Finance Strategy, Transformation or Operations related experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading multiple complex, large sized projects
  • Experience in developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates and presentations
  • Experience with Finance Systems (NetSuite or similar ERP systems, Anaplan or similar planning systems, etc.)
  • Big 4 or top tier management consulting experience
  • Meticulous attention to detail for project status reporting, issue/resolution tracking and risk management
  • Ability to think in complex and ever changing situations, strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems, execute and transfer knowledge
  • Specific experience in:
    • Process improvement assessments / implementation
    • Finance and accounting system implementations or conversions
    • Formal project management execution
    • Fast paced, startup environments
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead meetings
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization and be viewed as a team player
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint), to build relationships and foster trust at all levels across the organization
  • Be nimble and agile and able to help the Finance team execute
  • Strong executive presence
  • Professional certification (CPA, MBA, PMP, etc.)
