Our client, a growing assisted living and senior care provider, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Assistant Living Operator with deep experience in operational leadership, financial oversight, compliance, and human resources across the healthcare or senior living industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for acting as the CEO of the organization, overseeing all departments, ensuring seamless facility operations, managing risk and compliance, driving financial performance, and traveling regularly to facility locations to lead on-site initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all day-to-day operations across multiple departments—finance, HR, compliance, and facility management—to ensure smooth execution of organizational objectives.
- Ensure all facilities meet and maintain full regulatory and licensing compliance in alignment with state and federal guidelines.
- Oversee company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to maintain profitability and fiscal responsibility.
- Provide executive-level leadership across human resources, including recruiting, retention, employee relations, and workforce strategy.
- Identify operational gaps and develop scalable systems to improve performance, safety, and resident satisfaction.
- Travel weekly or bi-weekly to out-of-state assisted living facilities to lead staff, assess operations, and implement strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with owners and stakeholders to drive long-term vision, growth, and organizational alignment.
- Serve as the senior-most leader on-site and remotely, fostering a culture of accountability, compassion, and compliance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, assisted living, or senior housing operations.
- Proven track record of overseeing cross-functional departments, including HR, finance, compliance, and facility operations.
- Strong understanding of assisted living regulatory environments and compliance standards at both state and federal levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently (weekly or bi-weekly) to out-of-state facilities, with flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and people management skills to engage both corporate and on-site staff.
- Experience managing multi-site or regional operations within a high-touch, service-based environment.
- Financial acumen and ability to interpret and act on complex financial statements and forecasts.
Location: Brooklyn NY - North Carolina (you can live in NY or NJ but will need to commute to NC as needed)
Salary: $250K
Compensation: $250,000.00
