Our client, a property management company, is seeking a detail-oriented Office Clerk with experience in accounts receivable and tenant communications.
The ideal candidate will support day-to-day administrative functions with a focus on accurate financial recordkeeping, maintaining positive tenant relations, and ensuring timely rent processing and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Process and record accounts receivable transactions, including rent payments, accurately and on schedule.
Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants, addressing questions, concerns, and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain organized and up-to-date tenant records, including lease agreements, payment histories, and correspondence.
Prepare and distribute rent reminders, late notices, and other billing-related communications.
Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing documents to support property management operations.
Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure payment discrepancies are quickly resolved.
Track and report on outstanding balances and follow up with tenants as needed.
Support other office functions, including answering phones, handling mail, and maintaining a tidy front office environment.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in an office administration or clerical support role, ideally in a property management setting.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting and accounts receivable processes, with excellent attention to numerical detail.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants and staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook), and comfortable using property management software.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve tenant issues calmly and effectively.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
