Our client, a Medical & Urgent Care billing company, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Billing Advisor / Revenue Cycle Consultant.

We are seeking a highly experienced medical billing and revenue cycle professional to serve as a strategic advisor to the billing team.

This is not a day-to-day billing role. Instead, the Advisor will guide the team through complex billing scenarios, payer challenges, workflow improvements, and overall revenue cycle strategy as the organization continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on complex billing, reimbursement, and denial situations.
• Support the team in resolving escalated payer issues and navigating unique claim scenarios.
• Offer guidance on payer rules, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
• Review existing billing workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Recommend improvements to systems, processes, reporting, and team structure.
• Assist leadership in strengthening internal controls and scalable revenue cycle procedures.
• Serve as a resource for staff and leadership on billing questions across specialties.
• Help implement strategies that improve collections, cash flow, and overall RCM performance.
• Provide insight on trends, patterns, root causes, and long-term solutions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management.
• Strong understanding of payer rules, insurance processes, and claims lifecycle.
• Experience across multiple specialties preferred, especially ABA, urgent care, and mental health.
• Ability to guide, mentor, and advise a team without performing daily billing tasks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-development skills.
