Our client, an insurance agency (employee benefits and insurance consulting), is seeking a reliable and skilled Insurance Account Manager with experience in benefits administration, insurance services, or human resources.
The ideal candidate will manage client employee benefits packages from initial proposals and carrier comparisons through enrollment and ongoing year-round service, ensuring clients receive top-tier support and comprehensive plan management.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing expert guidance on employee benefits plans and resolving service issues quickly and professionally.
Prepare and present tailored benefits proposals by comparing plans across multiple insurance carriers to meet client-specific needs.
Facilitate smooth onboarding and enrollment processes for new clients and their employees, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the year, addressing benefits-related questions and policy updates.
Collaborate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, process renewals, and troubleshoot coverage-related concerns.
Support compliance with ACA regulations and other legal requirements related to employee benefits.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of client interactions, plan selections, and enrollment details.
Coordinate with internal teams and brokers to ensure seamless client service delivery and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or HR-related roles, preferably within an agency or consulting environment.
Excellent phone and interpersonal skills with a confident, outgoing personality to effectively engage clients and carriers.
Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced client-facing role.
Familiarity with major health insurance carriers and understanding of basic plan structures and enrollment processes.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to explain plan details clearly to clients.
Comfortable using CRM platforms and benefits software, with a high degree of tech-savviness.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry, documentation, and client follow-ups.
Self-motivated, collaborative team player who takes initiative and ownership of client relationships.
