Our client, a residential mortgage company is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales to lead the sales organization.

This role is responsible for building and managing a high-performing sales team, executing growth strategies, creating training programs, setting goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring consistent production across all channels.

The ideal candidate is a driven sales leader with strong communication skills, analytical ability, and a passion for developing people.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company growth targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities, channels, and partnerships to expand production.
  • Implement processes and best practices that improve efficiency, lead conversion, and closing rates.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire Loan Officers, Branch Managers, and sales support staff.
  • Build a strong pipeline of talent and ensure onboarding success.
  • Establish a positive and accountable sales culture focused on results and teamwork.
  • Design and deliver training programs in sales techniques, product knowledge, compliance, and CRM usage.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and performance development for all sales team members.
  • Ensure that team members understand company products, guidelines, and pricing strategy.
  • Set clear production goals, KPIs, and expectations for individual and team performance.
  • Monitor metrics regularly and hold team members accountable through structured performance reviews.
  • Develop action plans for underperforming staff and growth plans for top producers.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales numbers and pipeline activity.
  • Prepare detailed performance reports for executive leadership.
  • Use data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create a high-energy, competitive, and supportive sales environment.
  • Implement incentive programs, contests, and recognition systems to drive results.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience.
  • Proven success managing sales team and driving production growth.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Data-driven approach with strong analytical and reporting ability.
  • Experience with CRM systems, LOS platforms, and digital lending tools.
  • Experience scaling a sales team.
  • Background in developing training programs or sales playbooks.
  • Ability to lead both in-office and remote sales teams.

Location: Monroe NY
Salary:
$150K + commissions




Compensation: $150,000
