Our client, a nonprofit community services organization, is seeking a proactive and culturally fluent Operations Director with strong leadership skills and deep familiarity with the Chassidish community.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, executing impactful programs and events, supporting fundraising efforts, and ensuring that the organization’s mission is successfully carried out to benefit families and clients. This person will work closely with leadership to drive growth, streamline operations, and expand community impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support staff, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and high-quality program delivery across all initiatives.
  • Supervise, train, and guide staff to maintain program standards, encourage collaboration, and meet organizational goals.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all regular programs, seasonal events, retreats, and special projects.
  • Manage logistical elements of programs, including purchasing, budgeting, inventory, and volunteer coordination for optimal service delivery.
  • Provide strategic oversight of all programs, ensuring alignment with community needs and successful program outcomes.
  • Accurately manage and maintain program data using Salesforce, ensuring timely updates and insightful reporting.
  • Support the organization’s fundraising efforts by assisting with campaign planning, outreach, and donor engagement.
  • Represent the organization within the Chassidish community, building strong relationships with clients, families, and volunteers to foster trust and program success.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit operations, program management, or community engagement, ideally within a culturally aligned setting.
  • Fluent in both Yiddish and English, with the ability to effectively communicate and connect with Chassidish families, staff, and volunteers.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects independently, and execute programs on time and within budget.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience overseeing events, including logistics, volunteer management, and execution for both small and large-scale gatherings.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity, especially when working with families in sensitive or high-stress situations.
  • Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as required by the role.

Salary: $120K




Compensation: $120,000.00
