Our client, a leader in payroll solutions, is seeking a skilled software development director to join their team and work closely with the development team to bring development projects to life to their application.

This role primarily involves managing a team of developers, doing projects like new functions and pages, troubleshoot, and testing, ensuring a smooth and engaging user experience.

As the software developer director, you will work with the engineers and product team to manage, oversee, develop and maintain functional and stable applications to meet the company’s needs and to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.

The Software Development team will design develop, debug, test, and implement software features and enhancements as well as correct defects in existing applications and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Web application development (including GUI design).
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Perform tests to optimize performance.
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications.
• Gather and address technical and design requirements.
• Produce efficient, clean, and well-commented code.
• Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement applications and databases.
• Work closely with the team of developers, and Senior Management to build new features and applications.
• Work with all User Interface, Application, and Database-related issues.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years proven work experience as software development director.
• Experience with: C# .Net, React.
• Experience with both web and desktop applications.
• Excellent interface design skills.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
• Competency in developing modules independently.
• Excellent written and verbal abilities—both written and oral.
• Ability to evaluate complex problems and arrive at a resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to explain complex technical information.

Salary: $150K
