Associate Director, Data Science & Analytics

Opportunity to bring your Analytics and Data Management Platform expertise to a global Digital Strategy firm enabling a major airline to realize the benefits of a major DMP Investment. 

As a Associate Director you will serve as project lead for the analytics workstream and manage all client deliverables, and be responsible for articulating the technical approach for the integration.

This is heavy client-facing role requiring superior communication skills, and the ability to understand the impact of decisions, what’s in scope and what’s out of scope, to guide the teams.

Responsibilities:

First and foremost.... Deliver Data-driven, actionable insights!

Leverage advanced analytics and statistical tools to explore and analyze data from multiple sources, and elevate the conversation with clients

Present insights to clients and account teams in a compelling and relevant story with recommendations backed by robust analysis

Develop strategies to help clients activate their analytics and create a more data-driven culture

Implementation and Integration of Data Management Platforms

Implementation of DMPs ensuring taxonomies, tags, and integrations are leveraged to support data analytics, insights and channel level targeting.

Implementation of testing and optimization tools with integration across marketing and data platforms to ensure sound testing, targeting, and personalization strategies

Recruit and Manage team of ‘rock-star’ analysts

Manage and develop a team of analysts to: build deep subject matter expertise in Marketing Analytics, create intellectual property

Develop a high performance team with diverse analytics capabilities including analytics implementation, quantitative analysis and customer analytics

Provide strategic guidance on analytics and measurement strategies, while leading by example with an active delivery role

Develop an intimate understanding of our clients business and their customers, and pro-actively identify ways to help our clients achieve their goals

Collaborate with cross functional teams, including creative, design and technology to shape meaningful customer journeys and customer centric thinking

    Expertise guidelines :

    8-10+ years of experience in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing, or a business related fields.

    Bachelor’s degree, in Marketing, Business, Engineering or a related field. MBA preferred

    Passion for digital analytics, working with data and deriving insights to answer client business questions

    Experience leading and delivering marketing analytics engagements

    Strong knowledge of the digital space and digital analytics

    Strong communication and client service skills

    Strong consultative skills and the ability to challenge status quo and gain adoption

    Comfort with working in and contributing to a fast-paced, team based environment

    Management or mentorship experience - providing training, project support, career advice and delegated responsibilities

    Expertise in leading implementations of marketing platforms including: Adobe, Google, Salesforce, Oracle or IBM. Emphasis on their analytics, campaign and testing capabilities

    Proficiency in advanced analytical tools including: SAS, SQL or R

    Proficiency in data visualization tools including: Tableau or Domo

    Good understanding of advanced statistical techniques, including uplift modeling, logistic regression and cluster analysis

    An understanding of master data management principles and data governance best practices

    A good understanding of machine learning techniques and tools

    Proven ability to influence stakeholder and senior leaders, and manage organizational change

    Technical Requirements:

    Previous experience with the following platforms is required. This includes understanding of implementation as well as key use cases:

    Data Management platforms - Adobe Audience Manager and SalesForce Audience Studio (Krux)

    Digital Analytics platforms – Adobe Analytics

    Previous experience with the following platforms is strongly preferred.

    Email and Marketing Automation – SalesForce Email Studio

    Ad Serving Platforms – DoubleClick Campaign Manager

    Tag Management Platforms – Ensighten and Adobe Launch

    In addition, the candidate must be knowledgeable in the following digital analytics concepts:

    Digital advertising measurement and attribution

    Cross channel experience personalization

    Audience retargeting and suppression
