    The Company is moving to a center-led structure from a historically highly decentralized one. This brand new Group-level position is a unique chance to make a major impact by introducing analysis of key business intelligence across the Group for the first time. You’ll provide vital insight, influencing strategic direction to facilitate maximum growth and profitability of the Group, through cross-functional collaboration with Finance, IT, R&D and Operations, as well as Operating company executive leadership. This role will undoubtedly continue to develop and evolve with ongoing opportunity for career growth.

     

    What You’ll Do

    • Gain a commanding grasp of the portfolio of operating companies within the Group, their products and capabilities, end use markets, and Voice of the Customer
    • Be the owner for all Marketing related data with strategic insight across the operating companies
    • Partner with Finance to develop forecasts and analyses that are informed by data-driven insights and operating metrics
    • Partner with Executive Leadership to develop annual and long range business plans that capture growth and investment for agreed upon strategic initiatives
    • Drive effective resource prioritization to deliver strategic business results for the Group as a whole: where to play, where not to play, branding, sku rationalization, pricing, distribution, etc.

       

      The Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred. Degree concentration in Marketing Research, Marketing or Statistics very helpful
  • 7+ years industry experience in strategic Marketing, including significant market segmentation experience and meaningful current/recent involvement in OEM industrial products. Coatings industry experience a strong plus but not required
  • Builder and translator – you enjoy creating new structures and processes, systematically improving them, using data analysis to frame business issues, and draw insights to support real-time decision-making
  • Expert with market/customer segmentation and data analysis/business intelligence software tools such as Power BI
  • You enjoy an environment managing multiple priorities that require strong project management skills - “drinking from the firehose”
  • Collaborative with good influencing skills: you know how to build relationships and partnerships at all levels, without direct reporting
  • You enjoy learning new markets, new products and the data tools to understand them very quickly
  • Resourceful, entrepreneurial attitude, combined with optimism and positive outlook – you see solutions and possibilities and know how to execute to deliver results
  • Initiative, energy, humor and humility are essential attributes
  • Willing to live/relocate to the Hickory – Winston-Salem – Greensboro area – local candidates are preferred but relocation assistance is available for the right person
