Assistant Tour Manager

Overview:

TideSmart has partnered with a leading eye care company to operate a nationwide B2C tour featuring in-depth product demonstrations and engagement opportunities with local clients and prospects. We seek a qualified experiential marketing professional to join us as an Assistant Tour Manager.

The Assistant Tour Manager must be tech-savvy, have experience working with mobile showroom-style experiential assets, and able to operate with a primary Tour Manager for extended periods of time. The ideal candidate is also gregarious, organized, hard-working, and a team player.

Tour Team: This is a team program. The Assistant Tour Manager works closely with the Tour Manager to execute setup/breakdown and shares site management duties.

Schedule: August 11 (or ASAP) through December 13 with two paid break weeks. The team makes one tour stop per week, with each activation lasting 4-5 days.

Tour Location: Nationwide

Assets:

  • Primary: Dual axle 5th wheel tractor pulling a fully wrapped 53’ trailer with slide outs. (Operated by TM)
  • Secondary: car-class chase vehicle.(driven by the Assistant TM)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as secondary on-site authority for all event activations, in conjunction with the TM.
  • Assist TM with set-up and breakdown.
  • Follow the primary asset in a chase vehicle.
  • Create a great guest experience for all activation attendees and client representatives.
  • Fulfill all communication and reporting obligations as defined in the tour manual and agreed upon during training.
  • Exceptional punctuality for all events, set up, conference calls, and appointments during the length of tour.
  • Operation of vehicles and experiential assets in accordance with all DOT and FMCSR codes; by use of JJ Keller E-log.
  • Ensure no intentional or negligent vehicle damage or lost vehicle articles.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience as a Tour Manager/Assistant Tour Manager in the experiential/events marketing industry
  • Must be comfortable driving long distances and working in a team setting.
  • Valid driver’s license, able to successfully pass a background check, MVR check, and pre-employment drug screening. CDL-A not required.
