RN Operating Room needed in Fort Walton Beach

Fort Walton Beach is a small city in the Florida Panhandle. It’s known for fine white-sand beaches on adjacent Okaloosa Island. The island’s Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park is home to dolphins, penguins and alligators. The Indian Temple Mound Museum includes the prehistoric Temple Mound and Native American artifacts. Northeast, the Air Force Armament Museum displays artifacts and aircraft from WWI to the present.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $31.94-$43.56

Night Shift diff: $4.25

Weekend diff: No

SIGN ON: $15,000

RELO $2,000-$5,000 pending distance

Description

Located on Florida's Emerald Coast is seeking a full time Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

Department Overview:

12 general operating rooms with 2 dedicated heart rooms to provide surgical services in:

• General Surgery
• Vascular Surgery
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Cardiovascular Surgery
• Gynecological Surgery
• Plastic Surgery
• ENT Surgery
• Urological Surgery
• Opthamalic Surgery
• Laparoscopic Surgery
• Neurological Surgery
• Maxilofacial Surgery
• Thoracic Surgery
• Emergency Trauma Surgery
• Robotic Surgery

Each of our surgical specialties offers a full range of operative procedures, performed either open or laparoscopically, depending on the needs of each patient. Each specialty utilizes specialized equipment, unique to that service, to enhance delivery of care.

Education

Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing or BSN required

Licensure/Certification

• Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.

• BLS required

• CNOR preferred

Experience

Minimum 3 years of previous acute care or perioperative experience preferred

Completion of Perioperative Nursing Course preferred

Additional Info:

SHIFTS- OR have day shifts evening shifts and weekend shifts. Shifts are 8 hours or 10 hours.

0630-1500 Monday – Friday

Weekends 7a-7p or 7p-7a Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Mid shift 1130-2200 Monday - Thursday

**The nurses must have OR experience**

Rooms: 12 OR’s

ON CALL IS REQUIRED- Must be within 30mins to take call

• Call depends on the shift , weekends have no call:

evenings have weekend call;

dayshift has weekday night and weekend call.

• Call pay is $4.00
