Director of Surgical Services

Director of Surgical Services needed in St Petersburg, FL. 

St. Petersburg is a city on Florida's gulf coast, part of the Tampa Bay area. It's known for its pleasant weather (hence its “Sunshine City” nickname), making it popular for golfing, boating, fishing and beachgoing. Its waterfront parks host the Dali Museum, featuring surrealist works of art; the Museum of Fine Arts, with works ranging from ancient to contemporary; and Mahaffey Theater, home of the Florida Orchestra.

This position is with a progressive, financially stable Hospital System.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Surgical Services operations.
• Develop and execute strategic plans.
• Provide guidance to surgical staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality.
• Manage budgets and resources.
• Implement safety protocols and policies.
• Stay updated with industry trends.
• Foster staff development and improvement.
• Enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders.
• Oversee equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Must have at least 3-5 year of Manager or Dir level experience in Surgical Services/ OR
• MUST be a RN with BSN
• Master's degree MHA, MSN, MBA, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Surgical Services, preferably OR nursing required
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
• Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred
• Lead and manage Surgical Services operations.
• Develop and execute strategic plans.
• Provide guidance to surgical staff.
