Operating Room RN Needed in Hendersonville, TN

Hendersonville is the fourth-most populous city in the Nashville metro area. Some of the most popular musicians in country music history called Hendersonville home.

This position is with a progressive, financially stable Hospital System.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary $31.77-$43.36 based on years of exp
• Shift Diffs: Evenings $ 2.50
• Nights $ 2.50
• Weekend $6.00
• Oncall: $2.50 per hr; Oncall shifts are 48hrs from Saturday 7 am – Monday 7 am. On a 4-5 wk rotation No weeknight call
• Call Back: 2 hr min at a time and a half.
• 8k sign-on paid quarterly with no commitment

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the healthcare team for quality patient care during surgery.
• You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of intra-operative patients.
• You will assist surgeons in operative procedures and patients.
• You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• You will administer medications by physician orders.
• Maintain sterile field and assist the surgeon with instruments.
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition during procedures.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as needed.
• Document surgical procedures accurately.
• Communicate with patients and families.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Follow hospital protocols and policies.
• Stay updated with surgical techniques through training.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a TN Registered Nurse by state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If a compact license is held, an active TN RN license is required within 90 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
