Certified OR Technician needed in Kissimmee, Fl.

Kissimmee is a city in central Florida's Osceola County, just south of Orlando. It’s defined by its proximity to the region’s multitude of amusement parks, including the massive Walt Disney World Resort complex. The city lies along the northwest shore of Lake Tohopekaliga (nicknamed Lake Toho).

This position is with a progressive, financially stable Hospital System.

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $23.00 - $27.00
• Sign on Bonus: $10,000

Responsibilities:

• Assist OR staff in patient care during surgery.
• Anticipate surgeon preferences and contribute to OR goals.
• Prepare instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Handle instruments, retractors, and sutures during surgery.
• Manage surgical specimens for analysis.
• Prepare surgical site for procedures.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain instrument cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the surgical team.
• Ensure accurate surgical counts.
• Maintain a patient-centered, quiet environment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Graduate from approved Surgical Tech program required
• CurrentCST(Certified Surgical Tech) from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) required
• BLS required
• 1 year of previous experience as a Surgical Tech
