School Services Program Coordinator

Our client is a longstanding behavioral health organization that has been serving Central Virginia for over 50 years, focusing on patients first, offering a multitude of services for all ages, individuals and families. The Position: We’re actively looking for a Clinical Coordinator to work with our Client’s Director of School Based Services to manage the program in Lynchburg City Schools. This position will supervise both residents in counseling and licensed clinicians providing therapy to students in selected schools. The role will also indirectly supervise case managers.

• Salary Range: $51,000 to $81,000 (depending on years of experience)

Responsibilities:

• 37.5 hours per week
• M-F school hours, no weekends or nights
• Oversee selected schools within Lynchburg and surrounding counties.
• Conduct Screening Assessments to refer each client in crisis to an appropriate level of care (ranging from community outpatient services to inpatient psychiatric hospital admissions)
• Supervise clinical staff and case managers
• Meet with school administrators on a monthly basis to address needs and strengths of the program, and staff cases referred for services.
• Role may require you to complete intakes and assessments for services when necessary.

Requirements:

• Must have completed a 60-credit Master’s Degree (with 600 completed intern hours) in relevant Human Service field (Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology)
• Licensure in the state of Virginia as an LPC, LCSW or LMFT.
• 3 years of relevant clinical experience, including 2 years of post-licensure experience working with persons with serious mental illness.
• 1 year of experience in a titled supervisor, clinical lead or coordinator role (supervising fully-licensed clinical staff, not residents or interns)
• Reliable transportation and Drivers License.
