IT Project Manager

Our client is looking for a IT Professional! This is a NEW position for our client.

Under the direction of the Head of IT, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of medium to large scale and complexity technology projects as defined by the business to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame, parameters and requirements. Executes the project plans and activities following project management best practices ensuring quality and integrity of the information throughout the entire life cycle of the project.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Determine and define project scope, objectives and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Meet with stakeholders to define or clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives of the project and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Actively manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigate risks, and must be familiar with the scope of the project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member.
  • Track costs associated to each project.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan that will be shared with team members and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Provide project updates on a regular basis to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments and progress of each project.
  • Work with marketing and sales management staff on style and approach for all projects.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.

• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.

  • Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and or resources to meet the needs of the project.

• Ensure that a project is complete by writing test cases documenting on if they pass or not.

• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent academic and work experience preferred but NOT required.
