Our Brookfield client is seeking their next Manufacturing Engineer!

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, will assist with projects involving plant layout, equipment installation and modifications, time studies, set up time reductions, tooling , methods, processes, and overall productivity improvement.


? Provide input and support for manufacturing decision making information by calculating production, labor and material costs, reviewing production schedules, evaluating safety and ergonomic needs, and estimating future requirements.

? Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

? Assist with contract services needed for installation of new equipment as well as relocating current equipment.

? Participate in capital equipment projects.

? Recommend and implement new developments that would improve production and or quality and reduce manufacturing costs. Constantly search for and evaluate potential breakthrough technologies.

? Troubleshoot tooling, fixture and gauging related issues. ? Design and conduct product tests such as wheels, coolants etc and research alternative vendors or products.

? Consult with vendors and solicit observations from operators.

? Responsible for scheduling and working with outside contractors including routine building needs, electrical projects, equipment moves, emergency work etc.

? Process all necessary documentation and maintain records and recommendations for improvements.


• Associates degree or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in metal working or machine trades. A bachelor’s degree is mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering preferred.


? Two to five years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machine shop environment.

? Ability to establish manufacturing methods and procedures with the ability to promote process improvement throughout a facility.

? Strong analytical, problem solving, leadership and ability to communicate with complex matters.

? Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing quality and product development.

? Ability to present technical information to all levels of the organization.

? Computer literate in AutoCAD and basic Microsoft programs.
