Accountant

Overview of position:

Looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, you will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information.

 

This position is located in San Antonio, TX (Hybrid schedule)

 

Duties:

• Manage, compile, and analyze banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, finance reporting, general ledger, and payroll.
• Supervise the accounting procedures for the company and accounting department.
• Resolve complex accounting issues.
• Collaborate with and consult managers to ensure accurate billing, understanding of contract financials, and ensure FAR compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of company’s financials
• Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the company and client organizations.
• Produce and analyze financial statements.
• Monitor and manage cash flow.
• Oversee and collaborate with independent auditors as necessary for preparation and submission of audits.
• Manage incurred cost submissions and Provisional billing rates.
• Manage Contractor Manpower Reporting.
• Other support duties as needed/directed.

 

Experience/Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office
• Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases to include DCAA
• General Ledger entries experience
• APAR Experience
• GAP
• Ability to multitask and manage the accounting team.
• Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• Experience leading a team but also being a team player
• Government Contracting experience
• Good time-management and problem-solving skills
• Must have authorization to work in the United States

Education:

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance
