SME Computer Network Architect

Seeking a SME Computer Network Architect to focus on designing and implementing computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. You will perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. You will also design network and computer security measures as well as research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.

You will:

• Evaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process.
• Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.
• Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Oversee the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
• Work with other program personnel such as engineers, developers and testers, and communicate with Government and other mission partners.
• Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
• Analyze complex information and independently takes appropriate actions to resolve problems.
• Provide engineering guidance to technical staff and establishes effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners.
• Deliver briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers.
• Work complex research projects as a senior contributor and as part of an integrated research team where you will design and deliver solutions.

requirements:

• Extensive experience/knowledge delivering enterprise network solutions and capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or greater from an accredited college or university in System Engineering or related discipline
• Active CISSP, CASP+CE, CSSLP certification (minimum DoD 8570 IASAE Level II Certification)
• Active TS/SCI + Polygraph.

PREFerred/desired skills:

• Exposure to Cloud/AWS
• Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF)
• Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering.
