Database Administrator

Seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented database administrator to join our team. Leverage your understanding of databases to support a premier cyber research and development unit. Knowledge of database management and schema are critical to this role!

Entry to Principal levels available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Database Administrator, you will work in an Agile environment and leverage your skills in Research, Engineering and Networking to develop impactful mission tools. In this role, you will be a contributing member of a small multi-disciplinary team that researches platforms and implements solutions in Postgres. You will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing schema, ensuring data integrity, and devise methods to archive data as well as contribute to readiness reviews and product release cycles. You must be able to effectively communicate with the technical team, management, and the customer to keep them informed of progress, plans and potential issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The selected candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's (or higher) degree in a STEM field
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility for immediate consideration
• Postgres database management
• Optimize schema to support queries with large returned data sets (i.e., 900k items)
• Implement methods to ensure data integrity
• Experience with devising data security measures
• Implement policies and procedures to age out old data
• Cyber Security experience
• Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the following:

• Software Analysis
• Java development
• Requirements analysis
• Experience using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
• Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure
