Journeyman Software Developer Applications – Columbia/Baltimore, MD.

Position Description:

As a Journeyman Software Developer Applications, you will provide professional services designing, creating, deploying and updating application programs to successfully meet the organizations functional requirements, capabilities, and needs. You will help plan, develop, and test specialized applications software as well as update and release applications to end-users.

MINIMUM/GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-team environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline and 5+ years of related work experience in application software development building/coding applications with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python and managing development teams in Agile/DevOps/DevSecOps environments. 10+ years of experience in application software development can be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. Preferred candidates will have:

  • Experience with front-end web technologies and frameworks: HTML5, JSON, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Cloud Design and Development.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with SharePoint Platforms (2010, 2013, 2016).
  • Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA and Confluence).
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience with business process automation.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

In this role you will:

  • Review customer requirements, make logical recommendations, and then implement and maintain solutions utilizing cutting edge processes and technology.
  • Analyze requirements to derive software design.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain web-based software applications.
  • Perform coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Resolve complex technical problems, meet deadlines and thrive in a team setting.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, review code and perform unit testing.
  • Clearly and regularly communicate with customers and team.
  • Research and implement new development techniques and technologies.
  • Write and review software documentation.
  • Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
  • Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
  • Inspect, clean, transform, and model data to highlight useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision making.
  • Help develop software planning documentation, requirements and design documentation, support documentation, test description documentation,
  • Help conduct software validation and verification, and software engineering anomaly resolution.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidance and industry standards.
  • · Help perform installation, demonstration, test, validation and evaluation of software tools, methods, and measurement technologies.
  • Assist with computer network exploitation development.
  • Document verification and validation of solutions and protocols, and provide technical assistance to user organizations on software acquisition.
  • Help develop specialized software/firmware modules.
  • Disassemble and analyze software and embedded firmware.
  • Help develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Certification: IAT Level II (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)


LOCATION:

 Columbia/Baltimore, MD.

Salary: 100-135k
