JOB SUMMARY

Account manager responsibilities include developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, connecting with key business managers. Account Managers liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. Manage and develop client accounts to initiate and maintain favorable relationship with clients.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers
  • Help customers through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Enhance department and organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
  • Monitor and analyze customer’s usage of our product
  • Responsible for working with the Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients and developing existing client relationships
  • Liaise between the customer and internal teams
  • Provide ongoing communications with customers regarding order progress and delivery status (Start-up initially)
  • Assist Accounts Receivable with resolving collections issues, as required
  • Receive appropriate approval for any payment terms greater than 30 days
  • Ensure no-charge sample orders have been approved by the Regional Managing Director before order is processed
  • Answer the phone and direct calls appropriately
  • Initiate NCR’s (Non-Conformance Reports)
  • Perform other duties and handle special projects, as required
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Policies and Procedures

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of a College Diploma (business related focus), or equivalent experience.
  • 2 + years’ experience in a customer service-related field
  • 2+ Years Sales Experience in a Project Manager capacity or selling to industrial customers
  • Sales or business development experience with any of the following highly preferred:
  • Industrial, transport, or export packaging services
  • Wood crating & pallets
  • Foam, corrugated, PE Bags, etc.
  • Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing or Inventory Control
  • Third Party Packaging and/or Contract Packaging Services
  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
