Job Overview
As a landscape designer, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills by assisting the team with drafts and drawings. In a typical day you will create design documents, renderings, and cost estimates. Being able to communicate professionally and effectively will prove useful when working with other employees to create a quality finished product.
Key Responsibilities
-Use knowledge of the general concepts of landscape design including site analysis, project theming, schematic design and design development.
-Perform due diligence and research on projects to provide the background information needed to start new projects.
-Use knowledge of region-specific plant materials when creating designs
-Develop software skills utilizing relevant programs to assist with preparation of simple exhibits and complex drawings.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
-Be a good team member.
Education and Experience
-Bachelor’s degree
-Two years’ experience in landscape design (preferred, but not required)
-Working knowledge of Dynascape (preferred, but not required)
-Excellent design, computer, and organization skills o Proficient written and verbal communication skills
-Passionate about design with attention to detail
-Good time management skills
