Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in multi-family projects. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for performing electrical layout and design, conducting building code plan reviews, coordinating with various consultants, and ensuring compliance with NEC electrical load calculations. Your expertise in electrical engineering, specifically related to multi-family residential projects, will be crucial in successfully delivering high-quality designs and ensuring project success.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct NEC Electrical Load Calculations and create one-line diagrams for multi-family projects.
• Set up project drawings and incorporate drawing edits/redlines as necessary.
• Design and layout electrical systems for multi-family projects.
• Perform thorough building code plan reviews to identify any discrepancies or potential issues.
• Review contractor submittals and provide feedback and guidance as required.
• Address and respond to contractor-generated Requests for Information (RFI) promptly and effectively.
• Coordinate and collaborate with electrical utility companies to ensure smooth project execution.
• Work closely with Architectural, Civil, Structural, and Landscape consultants to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in multi-family MEP residential projects.
• General working knowledge of Building and Electrical Codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting.
• Familiarity with software applications such as Excel, Bluebeam, Adobe, and other PC-related programs.
• Experience in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
