Senior Landscape Architect Duties:

• Create landscape architectural designs for high value residential and specialty commercial garden projects
• Create comprehensive construction drawing content, including construction technique details as needed for project implementation
• Coordinate with the design team to produce comprehensive construction drawing packages
• Meet with clients, builders, engineers, designers, and teams to explain project goals
• Teach implementation techniques
• Assist in conveying prospects into clients
• Support and execute team approach with Project Managers, in presenting design concepts and assist in guiding clients through the process while consistently considering the clients' needs
• Partner with Project Managers to refine designs and develop rough budgets
• Oversee the production of the appropriate level of construction drawings and information needed for bidding assigned projects
• Review/assist in developing project costs prepared by Project Managers and/or Design Associates
• Partner with Project Managers to coordinate with the installation department and approve work in the field, as needed
• Learn the Agile Scrum project management process and tools

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or closely related field
• Generally requires a minimum of 10 years as a licensed Landscape Architect
• Licensed as required by the State of Texas
• Promising portfolio of designs, demonstrating creativity and innovation
• Detail-oriented with strong technical and writing skills
• Strong design and graphic presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Display moderate, if not proficient, use of AutoCAD of Sketch Up
• A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn more and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven team environment
• Proficiency in site design, planting plans, grading, drainage and irrigation, and site development a must
