Director Level, Managed Care Liaison

 One of our clients, a leading pharmaceutical company, is adding a new team (Medical Affairs Directors) that will be the primary medical point of contact for large customers in the region (payers, healthcare systems, and government). Key Responsibilities:

The Medical Affairs Directors will have a deep understanding of the unique medical needs of each customer's clinical, real-world evidence, and business with the goal to increase satisfaction, improve outcomes, and lower overall healthcare costs. They will prioritize relationships with key-access decision-makers in healthcare systems, payers, and government programs. The Directors will be leaders in the development and execution of medical strategy across the full portfolio. This a high profile individual contributor role and should attract the best of the best.

  • Florida
  • Houston
  • Lousiana, Mississippi
  • Michigan
  • Ohio
  • Pittsburgh

Overnight travel will be determined by how you manage your territory and time. The company and management team is cognizant of work/life balance needs of its employees, and so they do not require unnecessary travel.

 The Profile:

Our client has asked us to introduce this opening to MD/DOs, PharmDs, PhDs, NPs, PAs or any advanced clinical degree who fit the following profile:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Managed Care, HEOR, Health Outcomes, or Health Systems Liaison in the pharmaceutical industry or an MSL that has been working extensively with Payers and IDNs
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing a successful strategy across complex healthcare environments
  • Ability to lead complex cross-functional account teams
  • Excellent understanding of external laws, codes, and company policies that apply to the healthcare industry
