The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will represent Company and its Immunology and Inflammation portfolio, by functioning as a field-based extension of Company's Medical Affairs field-based team serving as a liaison between thought leaders (TLs) and other health care practitioners (HCPs) specializing in the treatment of immune-mediated inflammatory conditions and immunological diseases.

The MSL will deliver clinical, scientific, and technical education, building long term peer to peer relationships with key stakeholders and establishing rapport by providing scientific education to key healthcare practitioners involved in the care of Rheumatology and Gastroenterology patients. The MSL is responsible for developing, coordinating and assuring implementation of corporate, scientific, and clinical strategies to these thought leaders within academic, clinical, and healthcare organizations.

  • Identify HCPs within institutions, hospital systems, group and private practices within assigned region
  • Develop scientific relationships with HCPs
  • Compliantly communicate to HCPs approved scientific/clinical data or disease state information consistent with Company’s medical imperatives
  • Represent Company at Medical Conferences including medical booth coverage and/or clinical session coverage and/or competitive intelligence gathering
  • Respond to HCP unsolicited medical inquiries
  • Effectively shepherd the Organization's or HCPs’ research interests per Company policy and procedures
  • Present scientific and/or disease state information/data to managed care organizations (ACOs,MCOs, PBMs) per Company policies
  • Support clinical training of commercial colleagues as needed


  • Terminal degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, or DNP)
  • 2-plus years post graduate healthcare-related work experience
  • Clinical experience in Rheumatology and / or Gastroenterology area required
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, FDA requirements and PhRMA code
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, team, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and education skills; ability to communicate clinical and non-clinical technical information effectively
  • Demonstrated project management ability
  • Travel up to 60-70%
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Valid driver’s license
