Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
6+ years of progressive experience in engineering and quality leadership roles, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Strong background in Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma practices
Solid problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficiency with engineering design tools (e.g., CAD software)
Knowledge of fluid dynamics and materials science a plus
Demonstrated success in managing and developing technical teams
Ability to multitask and thrive in a deadline-driven environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to diverse audiences
Willingness to split time between office, lab, and production floor environments
Occasional travel and hands-on work (including use of basic tools) may be required
Responsibilities
Lead and develop engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Oversee projects, budgets, timelines, and compliance audits, making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives
Provide technical expertise in product design engineering and quality assurance processes
Manage and improve systems for quality, safety, and compliance (e.g., ISO Quality Management System)
Monitor production quality performance and drive scrap reduction initiatives
Support R&D efforts and identify opportunities for product and process improvements
Review engineering documentation, BOMs, and costing for accuracy and efficiency
Coordinate corrective actions for customer returns or non-conforming material
Identify training needs and support employee development initiatives
Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners
Deliver presentations and reports as needed
