General Summary:

The Personal Lines Insurance Product Development Manager (formal title: Senior Associate Insurance Product Manager) is responsible for making product decisions and recommendations for the assigned Line of Business, and managing product changes from ideation to implementation. This newly created position involves regular collaboration with senior leadership and Personal Lines State Managers. The successful candidate will play a mission-critical role in the future growth and development of the Personal Lines business.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive countrywide product growth and profitability for assigned lines of business.

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend new product opportunities.

  • Lead the implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products.

  • Develop both short-term and long-term project roadmaps for each product.

  • Stay current on industry developments, trends, and regulatory environments.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Contact Center, BP&A (Finance), Marketing, and Business Process.

  • Provide support for financial planning and forecasting.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Strong data analytics capabilities with a natural problem-solving curiosity.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and database management; competency in other MS Office software.

  • Commitment to continuous learning, particularly in product development and management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent, with preference for Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative business degrees.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in actuarial or insurance product analytics roles with increasing responsibilities.

  • At least 1 to 2 successful years in a Product Development role within the property and casualty insurance industry.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Estimated salary range: Up to $140k commensurate with experience and credentials.

  • Annual incentive opportunity.
