Sr. Civil Engineer – Municipal Infrastructure & Project Leadership

 

Join a multidisciplinary team delivering high-impact municipal infrastructure projects. Lead major initiatives from proposal through construction, guiding engineers, collaborating with public sector clients, and representing the firm at board and community meetings.

 

What You'll Do

  • Manage full project lifecycle for municipal engineering projects including road rehabilitation, stormwater management, subdivisions, land development, and utility design
  • Oversee capital improvement projects for public sector clients, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Develop project work plans, budgets, and construction cost estimates
  • Review and approve project plans, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of engineering and construction issues
  • Represent the firm at municipal planning, zoning, and land-use board meetings
  • Communicate project updates to clients, public officials, and community stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing technical skill development and professional growth opportunities
  • Support business development through client relationships, proposals, and pursuit of new opportunities

 

What You Bring

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering; NJ PE required
  • 6+ years of progressive experience managing municipal infrastructure or land development projects
  • Site development experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; GIS and Hydroflow experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to represent the firm effectively in public and client-facing settings
