Are you ready to engineer solutions that shape the future of manufacturing? We’re looking for a driven and innovative Process Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment. In this role, you'll be at the heart of operations—ensuring that every pad we produce meets the highest standards of quality, consistency, and performance. From fine-tuning complex systems to optimizing production recipes and improving efficiencies, you’ll play a key role in transforming raw materials into precision-engineered foam components.
What You’ll Do:
Own the front-end setup of the foam line by validating recipes, pour codes, robot assignments, and HMI inputs—ensuring everything is dialed in for smooth, high-quality production.
Lead production readiness checks by monitoring pressures, chemical levels, temperatures, and pre-run bucket shots to ensure optimal startup conditions.
Strategically manage and facilitate tool changes, aligning them with production schedules or operational needs to minimize downtime.
Partner closely with maintenance to diagnose issues, resolve downtime, and identify root causes that improve long-term line reliability.
Take charge of daily bucket shots and process documentation to ensure product consistency and traceability.
Innovate by developing and refining pour patterns that improve output quality, reduce waste, and support new product development.
Operate and maintain critical support equipment—including quick-fit machines and wax guns—ensuring optimal function throughout each shift.
Oversee the safe unloading and handling of ISO and POLY chemicals from tankers into bulk storage, following all safety and environmental protocols.
Act as a quality champion—investigating concerns, guiding production teams, and driving compliance to exacting standards.
Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and cross-functional improvement projects that enhance productivity and reduce scrap.
Create, submit, and track sample pads and pattern data, supporting lab testing, validation, and resubmittals when needed.
Keep tool change documentation and production records current and accurate, playing a central role in knowledge transfer and process control.
Collaborate across teams to solve problems, implement best practices, and continuously elevate the production process.
Generate daily production and performance reports, sharing insights and updates with key stakeholders.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-first work environment that reflects our commitment to 5S principles and operational excellence.
Ensure all activities comply with company Quality, Environmental, and Material Management System policies and relevant health and safety standards.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical education and experience).
Experience in foam processing or a similar manufacturing environment with a passion for hands-on problem-solving.
Strong analytical skills—able to collect data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with AutoCAD or related design tools.
Knowledge of regulatory and safety compliance (including OSHA standards).
Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
