Join a well-established, privately held flooring manufacturing operation in northwest Georgia as the Finance Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing accountant who wants to lead a small finance team, own month-end close and cost accounting, and partner with operations to drive accuracy and continuous improvement — all while working on-site in Adairsville.
Key responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger maintenance.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes; prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance explanations.
Own inventory and cost accounting for manufacturing operations (material, labor, overhead allocation); perform product / job costing analysis.
Produce timely financial reports (monthly financial statements, KPI dashboards) for leadership and support ad hoc financial analysis.
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes; partner with operations and purchasing on volume and cost assumptions.
Maintain and improve internal controls, assist with audits, and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a small finance team; coordinate workflow and cross-train staff.
Support ERP finance/operations integrations, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). CPA or CMA a plus.
4–7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years supervising or leading others.
Solid manufacturing accounting background — inventory and cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
Strong month-end close experience and working knowledge of GAAP.
Proficient with ERP/accounting systems and Excel; experience implementing or improving ERP financial processes is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to partner with operations and non-finance staff.
High attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience in process or discrete manufacturing (flooring or related industries a plus).
Hands-on experience with inventory costing methods (FIFO, standard costing, variance analysis).
Experience with financial reporting automation and internal control frameworks.
