Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple engineering projects from concept through completion.
Develop project scopes, generate cost estimates, and produce detailed drawings and specifications.
Ensure all designs meet relevant codes and regulations, including Hydro standards.
Prepare requisitions and work orders; provide direction to labor teams during project execution.
Collaborate with internal teams, equipment suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.
Perform design calculations, evaluate supplier proposals, select appropriate equipment, and manage vendor documentation and schedules.
Support maintenance and production teams by troubleshooting issues, recommending equipment upgrades, and resolving reliability concerns.
Maintain and update engineering drawings and documentation.
Provide clear and consistent communication on project timelines and progress across departments and with external partners.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Professional Engineering License (PE), or certification as Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI)
3+ years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally heavy industrial
