RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair commercial heating, ventilating, and cooling units. The Service Technician will diagnose and repair electronic mechanical and electrical components of the systems.
• Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
• Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service the emergency needs of customers
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle to include refueling, reporting of mechanical issues, submitting vehicle inspection reports and washing the unit on a regular basis
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle
• Maintain and submit monthly mileage logs
• Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoice at job site. Obtain customer signature at completion of job.
• Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type, test measurements, and pictures when necessary
• Diagnose service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct the problem
• Participate in company/industry provided training for latest technologies
• Identify and report to dispatch potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, additional services)
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5-10 years of commercial HVAC service technician experience (no exceptions).
• Must be willing to work overtime (no exceptions).
• Good analytical skills
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, manuals.
• Excellent customer service skills to exceed customer expectations
• Well groomed, neat appearance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must have a CLEAN criminal background record for the last ten years (required by the school district clients)
• Must have a clean driving record as you will drive a company vehicle.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
