We are currently recruiting afull-time night Registered Nurse (RN) Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant in Dallas, Texas to practice in an 876-bed tertiary care center. Offering nearly 100 specialties, we are conveniently located in the heart of North Dallas, just 15 minutes from downtown Dallas and a short drive from the North Dallas suburbs.
Job Responsibilities of the Hematology/BMT RN:
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy administration and management, including investigational protocols.
Transfusion of blood, platelets, and fresh frozen plasma.
Management of patients with radiation implants, central venous access devices, and spinal drains.
Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration.
Thoracentesis and paracentesis.
Epidural and intrathecal analgesia.
Management of toxicities r/t chemotherapy/biotherapy/radiation therapy and neutropenia/ thrombocytopenia/ anemia.
Autologous and Allogeneic Blood and Marrow Transplant.
Bone marrow harvest recovery.
Pain Management and telemetry monitoring.
Job Qualifications of the Hematology/BMT RN:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN required.
At least one year of experience in ICU or hematology/BMT. Two years of professional nursing experience.
Texas RN license or compact.
ACLS is required within one year of hire. ONS Chemotherapy biotherapy certificate course required within one year.
BLS required. PALS preferred.
Compensation and Benefits of the Hematology/BMT RN:
Salary: $31.57-53.46; depending on years of experience.
Shift diff for weekends $4.30 an hour and nights $3.75.
