We are currently recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Med/Surg to work in North Richland Hills, Texas in a 164-bed acute-care hospital. The hospital receives more than 39000 ER visits and is a level III trauma center. They have a primary stroke center and comprehensive cardiovascular services. The hospital is also an accredited Cycle 5 chest pain center with a cardiac rehab program.
Job Responsibilities of the Med/Surg Charge RN:
Assumes responsibility for the direction and coordination of all functions on the unit.
Collaborates with other members of the management team and is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services of the unit.
Functions as the resource person for staff members and assists in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff.
Makes decisions regarding activities within there are as based upon administrative operational standards, nursing standards, HR standards, and standards of care for the unit.
Job Qualifications of the Med/Surg Charge RN:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, ADN required. BSN preferred.
2-3 years of recent charge experience on a Med-Surg unit required. Candidates without management experience will be considered if they have 8-10 years of recent Med-Surg experience in an acute care setting.
Texas RN license or compact license, TX license required within 30 days of hire.
Compensation and Benefits of the Med/Surg Charge RN:
Salary: $31.71-47.57, depending on years of experience.
